Ciaté Mini Mani Month Weekly Wrap Up Week 2

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been on lately, but after this friday I'm out of school for two weeks and I'll be doing a lot of nails. Anyway, today I have another seven polishes from the Ciaté mini mani month calendar.

First up is day 8, Vintage. Vintage is a dark grey creme that's good in about two coats.

Next is day 9, Mistress. Mistress is a dark red jelly that's opaque in two coats.

Day 10 is Ladylike Luxe. Ladylike Luxe is a really cool gold glittery color, but it isn't really glitter. It also has a little silver shimmer mixed it too, although you can't see it on the nail. Two coats is good.

Day 11 are microbeads called Bumblebee. As you guess it's black and gold microbeads.

Day 12 is Twilight. Twilight is  deep black jelly with gold shimmery flakes is it. Opaque in two coats.

Day 13 is Glass Slipper. This is one of the glitter colors exclusive to the calendar. Glass Slipper consists of super fine royal blue glitter. This is one coat over Essie- Bikini So Teeny.

Finally, day 14 is Speed Dial. Speed Dial is a mix between an orange and a coral jelly, but it leans more to the orangy side. Opaque in two coats.

That's it for today, I'll try to post more, but this calendar is keeping me pretty busy.

Julep December Box Review

Hi guys! Today I have my Julep December Box to review for you today! I have Ivy, Harper, and Vivien. If you want to become a Julep Maven and get your very own boxes, just go to this link -------------> http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/50172/ and enter the code 3863244 at sign up. Every month you get about $60 dollars worth of nail stuff for just $20! Think that's awesome? Well now it gets better! Use the code JULEPVIP to get your introductory for just one cent!! I know, awesome!

Anyway, the first color I have for you today is Ivy. Ivy is a dark blue micro glitter polish and when looked at at a very particular angle there's a slight purple shade. It's pretty, but when I say particular angle I mean, not in the sun, and with your nails parallel to the ground. To me it's just a meh color. This is two coats.

Next up is Harper. Harper is a teal jelly with teal iridescent hex glitter everywhere. It's a pretty color, but not that great. This is three coats.

Last, but certainly not least, is Vivien. Vivien is a gold shimmer with gold hexes. This is probably my favorite color of the three, it looks it looks like something you'd wear to a fancy party. This is one coat over China Glaze Fast Track.

All in all, this box was nice, but I'll probably only ever use Vivien again.

That's it for today!

Ciaté Mini Mani Month Weekly Wrap Up 1!

Hi guys! In case you didn't know, I got the Ciaté Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar. You open it every day for a new nail polish! It's so cool! Today I'm going to show you the first week of colors.

First is Cupcake Queen. Cupcake Queen is a deep fuchsia with a purple shimmer. It's very pretty, but pretty much the same as OPI Pompeii Purple, Julep Sandra, and Jesse's Girl Breathless, all of which I own. If you don't have those colors though, I'd recommend them over this, probably the OPI, because Ciaté is pretty over priced. Much like most things at Sephora.

Day 2 is Dangerous Affair. DA is a darker red, that's probably best with two coats. Nothing too special about this color, it's red.

Day 3 is Halo. Halo is a pretty blue/purple shimmer top coat. A bit like a polish I made, except mine had more purple. It's one of those colors that you can really only see over a dark color. Beautiful color, but smells super bad. I don't know what it was, but it was gross.

Day 4 is a mix of microbeads called Prom Queen. It's a mix of pink, silver, and blue beads and some silver glitter mixed in. There was a little packet that came with the calendar on how to use microbeads, and one of the ways you could use them was in a French Mani, which I thought was pretty cool, so I tried it, and was very happy with the results.

Day 5 is Cabaret. Cabaret is a deep plum creme, but it doesn't look quite as purple in artificial lighting.

Day 6 is is Angel Wings. Angel Wings is a silvery satin polish that shouldn't be worn by itself, but doesn't necessarily need a bottom color. If that makes sense. I put about 1 1/2 coats over Cabaret, and you couldn't even tell there was a purple under it. It would probably look best over a white or silver.

Finally, day 7 is Cutie Pie. Cutie Pie is a sheer pink jelly, much like OPI Privacy Please. I took some glitter dots I had and made a jelly sandwich. Probably not my best work, but it still looked pretty cool.

That's it for today!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!!

Hey Guys! Well, It's that time of year and you know what that means!        This is normally the part where somebody breaks out into song, but I won't do that to you. Anyway, I love the holiday season because I get home in the afternoon, plug in the christmas tree lights, turn on the christmas music, and hop into my PJ's since I have nothing else to do that day. Weird? Maybe, but I do it anyways!
I'm sort of overloaded with stuff I have to swatch though, haha. So far I still need to swatch Nicole By OPI's Kardashian Holiday Collection, my Julep December Box, my Pretty and Polished Mathmatical! Collection, and I got that Ciaté Mini Mani Month Calendar that I vowed to swatch every day. Yes, yes, those will all be reviewed on here. I'm thinking of doing a weekly Ciaté "wrap up" too. Yes? No?   Yeah I'll do it.
So you're probably wondering when I'm going to get to the nails. Well, they're here!

First up, I have nails inspired by the pajamas referenced earlier. My cutie patootie polar bear pajamas!

Just don't look at the ring finger, I messed up on the eyes.

And you just looked at it didn't you? Oh, well. I still think they're pretty cute. Don't you? The base color is Essie-Playdate.

Next up are just some generic christmas nails. Elf, Gingerbread house, Santa, Reindeer, Christmas Tree.

My friend actually told me to do these, so I did! Mu favorite is probably the Rudolph, how about you?

Anyways, that's all for tonight!

OPI- Man With The Golden Gun Gold Leaf Top Coat

Hi guys! Sorry for slacking! But today I've got a lovely polish to show you! It's part of the latest OPI collection, the James Bond Skyfall collection. It is none other than the 18k gold leaf top coat The Man With The Golden Gun! *Cue dramatic music*

TMWTGG's gold flakes are pretty small, but there's enough that you can get everything on there in one coat. Now, this is a really beautiful polish, but super expensive. Are you ready for this? $30. Ya, luckily I got it as a gift! Here I have one coat over Essie- Butler please. Unfortunately, Butler Please is very difficult to paint evenly, it just doesn't spread out super well. Still super pretty though.

That's all for today! I'll hopefully have either a NOPI holiday collection review or Julep December box for you by the weekend!

OPI Germany Collection (1/2 of it)

Hi Guys! Today I've got half of the OPI Germany collection to review for you! I've got My Very First Knockwurst, Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!, Schnapps Out of It!, Every Month is Oktoberfest, Deutsch You Want Me Baby?, and German-icure by OPI.

First up is My Very First Knockwurst. MVFK is a pale pink nude crème. It applied extremely smoothly and only needed two coats. I have to say, one of the great things about nudes are that they make your nails look longer.

Next is Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!  This color is a dark grey crème that applies nicely in two coats. It's a little lighter in real life.

This one is Schnapps Out of It! Gosh, this color is hard to describe. Its a mix between a pale orange and  tanish color with a slight silver shimmer. I don't even know if that describes it accurately. The one thing about this color is that it looks as if there's more of a silver shimmer in the bottle than on the nail, but it's still a pretty color. It was opaque enough in two coats.

Next up is Every Month is Oktoberfest. This color is super beautiful, probably my favorite of the collection. Its a deep black jelly with a beautiful purplish/reddish shimmer. It's hard to capture the real beauty of this color. This is one coat over black.

This color is German-icure by OPI. German-icure by OPI is very much like the color above. It's a deep black jelly with a reddish orange shimmer. This color is also very hard to capture. This is one coat over black.

To be honest, in the bottle, these two look a lot alike. The only difference was that German-icure is more of an orangish shimmer compared to Oktoberfest's purple shimmer. They are both really beautiful, but I feel you shouldn't have colors this close on the same collection.

German-icure is on the pointer and ring and Oktoberfest is on the middle and pinky.

Last, but not least, is Deutsch You Want Me Baby? This is a shimmery orange red color that works better over a color than by itself. This is one coat over Milani Juicy Glo. Is it just me or do reds make your skin look paler?

All in all, this is a beautiful collection. All the colors applied like a dream and were just plain beautiful. Although I wish there had been some sort of glitter in it, but that's just me.

That's all for today!

Indie Swatch...Tuesday?

Hi guys! Today I've got a few Indie brands to swatch for you today! After not buying a single bottle in October I kind of splurged on some polishes I've been eying for a while.

First up is Oh Splat! by KBShimmer, my first ever KBShimmer and may I say, it's a great one! It's rainbow glitter hexes in a white milky base.

This color is beautiful! Although I wasn't quite sure if the glitter is supposed to be shining or covered by some of the milkiness. It's kind of half and half. This is one coat -- with a little glitter placement -- over white. It applied really nicely and is soooo pretty!
You can buy this here ----> http://kbshimmer.com/ShoppingNailPolish.html

Next up is Mint Condition from the Hungry Asian. Mint Condition is red, blue, purple, and black glitter in a mint base. It is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I put one coat--again with a little placement-- over Revlon Minted.

And how cute is the bottle???? It's a heart! And you can't see it, but there's a little jewel on the top!
You can buy this and all her other amazing polishes here-------------------------------------------------------------------> http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheHungryAsian

Now I've got one by Ninja Polish/Nail Venturous, Girly Floam! I've been waiting for a girly floam for forever! Girly floam is super fine pink and purple glitter, every girl's dream! This is three coats over nothing.

I'm going to be honest, I wish there was a blue or something to add a little variety, because while it's really pretty, it's kind of boring. The two colors blend into each other too much, but besides that it's really pretty! You can purchase other Ninja Polish products here ---> http://ninjapolish.com/home.php

And last, but certainly not least, is Serum No. 5 - Day Glow. Day Glow is a pastel yellow that dries with a sort of semi-matte texture, probably because it GLOWS IN THE DARK!! Ya, the glow is so intense, its amazing. This is two coats and about 30 seconds of direct sunlight.

Now in the dark

Look at that! Look at that glow! Wow!
You can buy more Serum No. 5 products here----> http://www.etsy.com/shop/SerumNo5

That's it for today!
