Frost My Tart- Nail Sauce by Feliifel review

Today I came home from L.A. to find a few packages waiting for me. One of which was my order from the lovely Felicia. And the link to her site is here. I absolutely loved the label and the little signature red striping tape across the cap. It also came with some business cards and a magnet.

I had heard so much about this polish on Instagram so I thought I would check it out. It has rose colored hexes, fine orange and blue glitter, and even finer purple glitter all suspended in a white milky base. It applied very nicely over my white polish I'd used as a base, although there was a little bit of placement with the hexes because they kept sliding around since the base wasn't very thick. This color doesn't look great on me over white, I guess its just because white doesn't look very good on me, so I'll try it again over pink or something.

All in all, I wouldn't say it's a must buy, but it is definitely pretty and would probably great to match that perfect outfit you have for a girls night out or something.

Neon Gradient Daisy Nails

I've been doing a lot of gradients recently and they have actually been turning out nicely. So since its summer, I though I'd do a neon gradient. I used three of the year round neons from China Glaze. It went from Purple Panic, to Flip Flop Fantasy, to Sun Worshipper, and it turned out a little something like this.

The top photo is in the shade, and the bottom is in the sun.

Now unfortunately, its very hard to photograph neon colors, so this mani was a lot brighter in person.

As it turned out, there was a floral contest going on on Instagram, so I thought why not do something with these? I added three different colored daisies, white ones(Sally Hansen White Tip), neon yellow ones(China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini), and pink ones(Essie Cute as a Button). I used Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow for the middle of all of them. I thought they turned out very nicely.

Neutral With A Twist

As one of the nails I had to do for a 30 day challenge I had to do "Neutral with a Twist nails." So I took OPI Samoan Sand as the base and Julep Mila as the glitter gradient.

All you need for this mani is a glitter polish, a plastic bag, and a makeup sponge. First, you put some glitter on a plastic bag. Then you press the sponge down on the glitter to get it on the sponge. After that you sponge the glitter on the tip of your nail. A lot at first, and then as you move up sponge less and less. You'll need to reapply the glitter to the sponge a few times in this process

That's it! I'll post some picture tutorials soon.

Revelon BLUE LAGOON and Julep PORTIA

Blue Lagoon is a pretty light blue color with a little shimmer to it, the only problem with it is that it's a little sheer, but kind of gloopy, so when I try to apply it it slides down to my cuticle and the middle of my nail still needs another coat. But besides that it's very pretty.

Portia, on the other hand, is small iridescent glitter suspended in a super sheer light blue jelly base. It's one of the prettiest colors I've ever seen.

In this picture I've layered Portia over Blue Lagoon, and although it's hard to see the true prettiness on my fingers, but you can definitely see it better in the bottle. All in all, I would say Portia is a must buy, and super pretty, but you could find a way better light blue the Blue Lagoon.

Blues Clues Nails

Welcome to my blog! This is my first ever post and I will be going backwards through my (good) nail pics and posting them here so feel free to follow! I'm also on instagram @only_at_shelbys, and have an etsy shop where I make custom made polish at this link --> http://www.etsy.com/shop/shelbyspolishshop

So here's my Blue's Clues nails! I entered these in a blue contest on instagram. I used every blue I own on these nails. Ya, I'm pretty proud.
I loved these nails so much because I was obsessed with Blue's Clues until I was in 3rd grade. I know, sad right?

Colors I used:
Revlon Blue Lagoon as base color
Julep Portia over BL to complete the base
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue as the base of the paw prints and the spots on Blue.
Essie Bikini So Teeny as the color of Blue.
OPI Last Friday Night as the glitter over the paw prints.
Sally Hansen Black Out as the lining of blues head, and his eyes and nose.
Sally Hansen White Out as Blue's eyes and the shine on his nose.
