Color Club Halo Hues Review

Hi guys! As I said yesterday I am going to review the Color Club Halo Hues collection. This collection is absolutely stunning. All beautiful holographic colors in a rainbow of colors! There are six shades, Halo-Graphic, Cherubic, Harp On It, Angel Kiss, Blue Heaven, and Cloud Nine. All are opaque in one to two coats.

From Left to Right: Halo-Graphic, Cherubic, Harp On It, Angel Kiss,
 Blue Heaven,  and Cloud Nine.

First up is Halo-Graphic. Halo-Graphic is a pinkish/redish holo.

and here's a macro.

Next up is Cherubic. Cherubic is a light peachy holo.

And here's the macro:

Third is Harp On It. Harp On It is a silver holo, and probably the most holographic of them all.

And the holo:

Next up is Angel Kiss. Angel Kiss is a pale greenish/blue holo.

And the macro shot:

Fifth is Blue Heaven. Blue Heaven is, obviously, a blue holo.

And last, but certainly not least, Cloud Nine. Cloud Nine is a purple holo, and my favorite of the collection.

All in all, these colors are probably the best holos I own. These colors are much much more holographic in real life, but a little harder to capture on camera. So, if you don't already own some nie holos, these are the ones you want.

That's all for today!

NOTD: Holo Stars and Moon

Hey guys! Today I have a little nail art for you! Just a little though, mind you. I used my new Color Club Halo Hues I got for Christmas. There's Halo Graphic-a light red holo, Cherubic-a peachy holo, Angel Kiss-a greenish/blue holo, Blue Heaven-a blue holo, Cloud Nine-a violet holo, and Harp On It- a silver holo. I'll probably do a full collection review later.

On to the mani. For this mani I just took a color and painted a random splotch on each nail, then took another color and did it again. I continued this for each of the six holos until all my nails were completely covered. After that I took black and outlined stars and a moon, then filled in everything except the outlined parts. Finally, I used a topcoat to smooth everything over. Here was the outcome.

It wasn't quite as holo as the colors by themselves, but the rainbow mix did look very pretty.

That's all for tonight!

Nicole By OPI Kardashian Kolor Holiday Collection

Hi guys! I hope you had a great Christmas, and if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you took advantage of the great after Christmas sales! Haha. Anyway, today I've got something long, long overdue. The Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolor Holiday Collection! Yay! I'm super happy to use my new lightbox and macro lens for this post! To make it more profesional.

From left to right: Keeping Up With Santa, Kardashing Through The Snow, Deck The
Dolls, A Gold Winter's Night, Here We Kome-A-Karoing, and All is Glam All is Bright .

First thing is first, I have Keeping Up With Santa. Keeping Up With Santa is a deep red color with a very very subtle shimmer. It's pretty opaque in one coat, but two coats looks best.

The next color I have is a glitter, which I sort of matched up with the red in a way. Kardashing Through The Snow is made up of red, blue, green, gold, and silver hexes in a clear base. I layered two coats over Keeping Up With Santa.

As you can probably tell, it was very hard to photograph, but I got a chance to use my new macro lens!

The next color is Here We Kome-A-Karoling. This is a deep purple with a slightly more visible shimmer to it. Again it should be opaque enough in two coats.

The glitter that I thought matched this color is called All Is Glam, All Is Bright. This glitter is isn't a top coat, but an actual one coat glitter. I layered just one coat over Here We Kome-A-Karoling because I wasn't expecting it to be a one coater. It is made up of fine red and blue glitter, and even finer silver glitter. This is probably my favorite polish of the collection.

And here is a macro shot.

The last solid color of this collection is Deck The Dolls. This is more of a shimmery/metallicish turquoise and is opaque in two coats. The one problem I have with this color is the fact that it is a little streaky unfortunately, but I do expect that with most metallic colors.

Last, but not least, is A Gold Winter's Night. This is a beautiful glitter made with small gold and blue bars, and some super fine purple glitter. I layered one coat over Deck The Dolls.

And here's the macro shot to go with it:

All in all I think this is a wonderful collection. Despite the names I think they could easily be worn all year round, maybe with the exception of Kardashing Through The Snow.

That's all for today!

Ciaté Mini Mani Month Calendar Weekly Wrap Up- Week Three

Hi guys, merry Christmas Eve! Today I've got the third and final (sort of) installment of the Ciaté Mini Mani Month Wrap Up. Days 22-24 will be in another odds and ends post.

First thing's first! Day 15- Headliner. Headliner is a gorgeous turquoisish blue that is opaque in 1-2 coats.

Day 16 is Big Yellow Taxi. Just your average yellow, not as bright as it looked on the back of the box, but still pretty nice. Opaque in 1-2 coats.

Day 17- Power Dressing. A deep navy blue jelly. Opaque in two coats.

Day 18- Candyshop Microbeads. Candyshop consists of gold, blue, and pink microbeads. Here I have them over Ciaté Cookies and Cream.

Day 19 is Cookies and Cream, how 'bout that? A tan creme, perfect skin color. It should be opaque in 1-2 coats.

Day 20 is one of the glitters exclusive to the Mini Mani Month Calendar, Magic Carpet. A pretty fuchsia glitter. This is one coat over Essie- Off The Shoulder.

Finally, Day 21- Fade To Greige. I'm not a big fan of this color, it's neither grey or beige, just a taupe creme. Two coats works best for good opacity.

That's it for today! I'll hopefully be swatching the new NOPI Kardashian Holiday Collection in my new lightbox I'm wishing to get tomorrow. So, if I don't see you tomorrow, Merry Christmas!

Pretty and Polished Mathmatical! Collection Review

Hey  guys! Today I've got for you some wonderful polishes from Pretty And Polished! I love Adventure Time and P&P's new collection is inspired by it! No, I'm not a complete nerd, but come on, it's Adventure Time! I couldn't bring myself to buy them all in a full size so I settled for the mini. These also just so happen to be my first Pretty And Polished polishes, and good ones at that.

Anyway, first thing's first. The Young Hero represents Finn the Human, the 13-year-old adventurer. This color consists of tiny yellow hexes, tiny blue hexes, slightly larger blue hexes, light blue squares, and large light green hexes all in a milky white base. This is one coat, with a little placement, over white.

Next up is Peebles. Peebles represents Princess Bubblegum, the genius ruler of the Candy Kingdom. This color is made of different sized yellow and pink hexes in a light pink jelly base. This is one coat over Essie Off The Shoulder.

Third is I'm Not A Banana! This color represents Jake the Dog, Finn's magical best friend. This color consists of large black hexes, large white hexes, and small white hexes in a yellow jelly base. Personally, I think if Jake as more of an orange dog, not yellow, but it's still a pretty cool color. Here I have one coat over Essie Fear Or Desire,

After that is King Of C-C-Cool. This is definitely one of my favorites of the collection. King Of C-C-Cool represents the Ice King, an evil wizard king who spends his free time capturing princesses. This color is made of tiny red glitter, medium blue and yellow hexes, large dark blur hexes, and some white diamond all suspended in a milky light blue base. Really pretty. This is one coat over Essie- Bikini So Teeny.

Next is Rainy Day Lady. Rainy Day Lady represents Lady Rainacorn, literally a unicorn with the body of a rainbow, and she speaks Korean. This color consists of medium fuchsia, yellow, blue, green, and silver hexes, transparent white squares, blue diamonds, and some larger red hexes in a clear base. This is one coat over Essie- Off The Shoulder.

The sixth piece in this collection is BMO Me Up. BMO Me Up is obviously based on the adorable little robot sidekick BMO. BMO Me Up is a smokey/silver grey microglitter base with super tiny blue flakes. This is one coat over Sally Hansen- Wet Cement, which was probably lighter than what I would've wanted.

This next color is Vampire Sing-a-long. Vampire Sing-a-long is based on Marceline, the vampire queen with a love of music and her axe-bass. This color consists of large black dots, medium purple hexes, small white hexes, black bars, and tiny white, red, and purple hexes in a clear base. I love this color, but there was a lot of glitter fishing for me. I wasn't able to get any black dots and got very few larger hexes. This is one coat over Sally Hansen- Wet Cement.

Finally, we have My Lumps. By far the best name of the collection. My Lumps is based on Lumpy Space Princess, the the lumpiest, sassiest princess of them all. this color is made up of purple and yellow shards, and some tiny purple hexes all suspended in a purple jelly base. This is one coat over OPI- Purple With A Purpose. Ring Fingeris Essie- Play Date.

And just to show you how awesome LSP is, I've decided to give you guys a little video of her finest moments:

You totally  don'y have to watch them all, but some of them are pretty funny.

That's all for today!

Ciaté Mini Mani Month Weekly Wrap Up Week 2

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't been on lately, but after this friday I'm out of school for two weeks and I'll be doing a lot of nails. Anyway, today I have another seven polishes from the Ciaté mini mani month calendar.

First up is day 8, Vintage. Vintage is a dark grey creme that's good in about two coats.

Next is day 9, Mistress. Mistress is a dark red jelly that's opaque in two coats.

Day 10 is Ladylike Luxe. Ladylike Luxe is a really cool gold glittery color, but it isn't really glitter. It also has a little silver shimmer mixed it too, although you can't see it on the nail. Two coats is good.

Day 11 are microbeads called Bumblebee. As you guess it's black and gold microbeads.

Day 12 is Twilight. Twilight is  deep black jelly with gold shimmery flakes is it. Opaque in two coats.

Day 13 is Glass Slipper. This is one of the glitter colors exclusive to the calendar. Glass Slipper consists of super fine royal blue glitter. This is one coat over Essie- Bikini So Teeny.

Finally, day 14 is Speed Dial. Speed Dial is a mix between an orange and a coral jelly, but it leans more to the orangy side. Opaque in two coats.

That's it for today, I'll try to post more, but this calendar is keeping me pretty busy.

Julep December Box Review

Hi guys! Today I have my Julep December Box to review for you today! I have Ivy, Harper, and Vivien. If you want to become a Julep Maven and get your very own boxes, just go to this link -------------> http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/50172/ and enter the code 3863244 at sign up. Every month you get about $60 dollars worth of nail stuff for just $20! Think that's awesome? Well now it gets better! Use the code JULEPVIP to get your introductory for just one cent!! I know, awesome!

Anyway, the first color I have for you today is Ivy. Ivy is a dark blue micro glitter polish and when looked at at a very particular angle there's a slight purple shade. It's pretty, but when I say particular angle I mean, not in the sun, and with your nails parallel to the ground. To me it's just a meh color. This is two coats.

Next up is Harper. Harper is a teal jelly with teal iridescent hex glitter everywhere. It's a pretty color, but not that great. This is three coats.

Last, but certainly not least, is Vivien. Vivien is a gold shimmer with gold hexes. This is probably my favorite color of the three, it looks it looks like something you'd wear to a fancy party. This is one coat over China Glaze Fast Track.

All in all, this box was nice, but I'll probably only ever use Vivien again.

That's it for today!

Ciaté Mini Mani Month Weekly Wrap Up 1!

Hi guys! In case you didn't know, I got the Ciaté Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar. You open it every day for a new nail polish! It's so cool! Today I'm going to show you the first week of colors.

First is Cupcake Queen. Cupcake Queen is a deep fuchsia with a purple shimmer. It's very pretty, but pretty much the same as OPI Pompeii Purple, Julep Sandra, and Jesse's Girl Breathless, all of which I own. If you don't have those colors though, I'd recommend them over this, probably the OPI, because Ciaté is pretty over priced. Much like most things at Sephora.

Day 2 is Dangerous Affair. DA is a darker red, that's probably best with two coats. Nothing too special about this color, it's red.

Day 3 is Halo. Halo is a pretty blue/purple shimmer top coat. A bit like a polish I made, except mine had more purple. It's one of those colors that you can really only see over a dark color. Beautiful color, but smells super bad. I don't know what it was, but it was gross.

Day 4 is a mix of microbeads called Prom Queen. It's a mix of pink, silver, and blue beads and some silver glitter mixed in. There was a little packet that came with the calendar on how to use microbeads, and one of the ways you could use them was in a French Mani, which I thought was pretty cool, so I tried it, and was very happy with the results.

Day 5 is Cabaret. Cabaret is a deep plum creme, but it doesn't look quite as purple in artificial lighting.

Day 6 is is Angel Wings. Angel Wings is a silvery satin polish that shouldn't be worn by itself, but doesn't necessarily need a bottom color. If that makes sense. I put about 1 1/2 coats over Cabaret, and you couldn't even tell there was a purple under it. It would probably look best over a white or silver.

Finally, day 7 is Cutie Pie. Cutie Pie is a sheer pink jelly, much like OPI Privacy Please. I took some glitter dots I had and made a jelly sandwich. Probably not my best work, but it still looked pretty cool.

That's it for today!
