Caviar Nails! Tutorial included!

Hi guys! Today I'll be using a new technique, at least for me it is. If you didn't read the header, then it's caviar nails! As you might know, Ciate has a special caviar mani set, but I just bought microbeads off of ebay so I didn't have to spend a ridiculous amount at Sephora, but you can also get microbeads at Michael's too. Anyway, I used my rainbow ones over Revlon Bubblegum, and it looks awesome! Although they don't last very long. Oh well!

Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture in the sun, so here's a picture in the shade!

And here's a picture in the sun anyways!

And I also decided to make a tutorial!

First thing's first, paint your nail with a base color.

Next paint your nails with a topcoat and then immediately, over a small bowl, pour the microbeads over your still wet nail.

Then lightly press down on the beads over your nail while it's still a little wet to spread out the beads.

Voila! Simple! Just a little tip, try and get the topcoat everywhere on your nail otherwise the beads won't stick.

That's it for today!

Fuzzy Wuzzy

Hello! Today I'm using one of my favorite techniques! Fuzzy nails! In case you don't already know there's a tutorial a few posts back if you want to know how to do these.

I used Martha Stewert Flocking powder for all the fuzz and for the thumb I used Hot Pink over China Glaze-Purple Panic, for the index I used Carrot over Essie-Tart Deco, for the middle I used Lime over China Glaze-In The Limelight, for the ring I used Calypso over Essie-Turquoise and Caicos, and for the pinky I used Beet over Wet N Wild-On A Trip. Here's how it turned out.

Oh ya, how do you like my watermark? My amazing artist friend made it for me. Anyway, It's fuzzy! And after about 10 seconds I wanted to add more. So I did! Let me introduce you to the Fuzzy Monster Group!

On the thumb we have Bouncy. Bouncy is a fun pink monster with a love for donuts. My index is Scary, Scary is an orange monster whose only joy in life is dark places. My middle is Loudy. Loudy is a lime green monster whose whisper is as loud as a normal scream and will talk until the world ends. My ring finger is Sheila. Sheila is a very flirtatious turquoise monster who can talk her way out of any situation. My pinky is Baby. A young purple monster that can make you smile anytime anywhere.
Ya, I'm already developing an animated cartoon series.

That's all for today!

Julep- Sofia

Hello! Today I've just a swatch for you. Now I know what you're thinking. A swatch? Bleh, that's boring! Well, not today! I've got a very special color in store for you today! What is it, you might be thinking. Well, if you didn't already read the header. It's Julep Sofia! And..... it glows in the dark! Took me a while to get to the cool part, huh. Anyway onto the swatching!

Sofia took four coats over white to be opaque enough, but I'm not going to lie. It's so thin, that it slided around a bit and ended up drying with some parts a little darker than others. But beautiful none the less! Sofia is a green, really thin, jelly with a sparkle glitter that's blue at some angles. Here's a picture in the sun(sorry for the glare.)

You can see the blue sparkles more in the bottle. And in case you didn't notice, I chopped off my nails quite a bit!

Next is a picture in the shade.

And now, the picture you've all been waiting for! The glow in the dark part!

It's near impossible to get a non blurry picture in the dark. But look at how bright it glows! This picture doesn't even show the full glow! Forgot to mention that little dark bubble there. That kind of pisses me off. Only four coats and it looks as if I've used a lot more then I did. Julep is a pretty expensive brand, about twice as much as OPI, and it actually has less polish to a bottle then OPI! Julep polishes are pretty normal compared to OPI or China Glaze, but still super expensive.

I wouldn't normally buy them but I'm a Julep Maven and get a box of goodies per month for just $20 and this was an add-on for only $5. If you would like to become a maven, you can go to this link ------> http://www.julep.com/rewardsref/index/refer/id/50172/ and enter the code when you sign up. Also, and I really hope this code still works, but if you enter the code PENNY at checkout you can get your introduction box for one cent!

That's all for today!

Feeling Blue

Not in the best mood today. -_- Oh well, don't want to bore you! But got some nails to match my mood. I used Julep Gunta from the Trina Turk collection as the base and Essie- Stroke of Brilliance for the glitter. I basically just applied Gunta, which applied extremely well, and then just painted the glitter starting from the cuticle down. Here's a picture in the shade, where you could see the color of the glitter better.

And here's a picture in the sun.

Here's the link to Julep- http://www.julep.com/
and you can get Stroke of Brilliance at any place you can get Essie, CVS, Ulta, it's part of the Luxeffects Collection.

That's it for now!

Lynnderella- Nosegay and Gotta Love Brains

Hello! Today I've got two beautiful polishes to show you! If you don't already know, Lynnderella is a polish maker who recently moved to ebay from llarowe. Her polishes are beautiful, but quite expensive. But I've managed to grab a few for a decent price, and today I'm going to review two of them.

First up is Nosegay, is multisized purple and pink squares and hexes in a milky lavender base with a slight indigo shimmer. It applies super smoothly. I've put about two coats over Essie To By or Not To Buy.

Next up is Gotta Love Brains. It's silver holographic bars, large and small silver hexes, rose and purple squares, blue hexes, and charcoal hexes and squares in a milky grey pase that has a slight purple shimmer. It applies very smoothly, but the large hexes curled a little bit. Despite that, the polish is super beautiful! I put one coat over Sally Hansen Wet Cement.

That's all for today! Have a good afternoon!

Up Up And Away

Hello, I know I haven't been posting lately... haven't been feeling too great. But I'm here now, and I'm definitely going to try to post more.

Today I've got some Superman nails for ya! I really am happy with the the face, not so much with the thumb, but oh well!

Now, as you know I make my own nail polish and I got this pigment so I could make glow in the dark polish. In the end the pigment was way to dense and sunk to the bottom and it wasn't completely dissolved so it had a bit of a weird texture to it... but when you could get it on your nails, it glowed amazingly! So I added it to the kryptonite!

It's a lot more purple in real life, but look at that glow!

Have a good evening!
